What Sessio is
Sessio is practice management software for independent life coaches. During a session it keeps three things on one screen: a timer, the client you are with, and a place to write notes while you listen. The hope is that you can stay with the person in front of you, instead of clicking through tabs. Client records, the calendar, and payment tracking are waiting when the hour is over.
Who it is for
It is for life coaches who run their own practice. The scheduled hour is the unit of work. You need a clear record of who you saw, what you talked about, when you meet next, and whether that session was paid. If that sounds like your week, Sessio was made for it.
Project apps and clinical platforms were built for other jobs. Sessio was built for this one.
Who it is not for
It is not for therapists, psychologists, counselors, or any other licensed clinical mental health professional. Sessio is not HIPAA-compliant. If you are a clinician, this is the wrong tool, and it is better to know that before you put client notes in it.
During the session
You start a session and the timer, that client's details, and a note editor share one view. Notes can follow the GROW model (Goal, Reality, Options, Way Forward) in a four-box grid, which is handy if that is how you already think. Free-form notes are one click away if you would rather write on a blank page. You can tag notes, finalize them, and find them later in that client's history.
When the hour ends, a short wrap-up helps you close the session so you are not piecing the record together afterward.
Clients, calendar, and payment records
Client profiles hold the details you actually reach for, along with session history and balances. The calendar has week, day, month, and agenda views, plus recurring sessions, so a standing Thursday does not have to be retyped every week. You can connect Google Calendar. One timezone setting covers the whole practice, which keeps booked times from drifting an hour off.
For client payments, you can connect Stripe. The connection is simple, and you can leave it off if you already collect payment another way. Sessio still keeps a payment record either way. You log a fee and mark it paid, and you can see revenue for this month, what is still outstanding, and the year-to-date total. Sessio keeps those records. It is not invoicing software.
There is also a second screen for the room. Open it on a tablet or another monitor facing your client. They see a slow gradient and your practice name. They do not see your notes, the timer, or their file, which is the point of giving them their own screen.
Sessio is in open beta: six months of full access, no credit card. After that, the Solo plan is $19 a month. You can join the beta from the site.
